  • Application Guidelines

    NB: This application is expected to take at least 15 minutes and at most 30 minutes.

    1. Requirements for Membership Application

    1. Before you proceed to fill the form, make sure you have the following:
      • Softcopy of coloured passport size photograph with a white background in any of the following formats png | jpg | jpeg | tiff | bmp.
      • Curriculum Vitae (CV).
      • Scanned copies of your original academic transcripts/pass slips.
      • Scanned copies of academic documents MUST have all faces as the original thus front & back pages.
      • Academic documents MUST be in pdf format.
      • Files to be uploaded must NOT exceed 8 MB.
    2. Completion of Practical Experience Training (PET) Log book. Click here for details
    3. CPA final certificate, Membership certificate and letter of good standing from an East African Community Institute of Accountancy body
    4. Recommendation letter from current or former employer(Not exceeding 3 years)
    5. Recommendation letter from a member of ICPAU who knows you personally and is in good standing

    2. Make ICPAU payment after completing your online application.

    1. Use your application number to make payment using any of the following means:

    1. For CPA (U) graduates, login to your account.
    2. Fill in, download and sign the online application form.
    3. Completed PET logbook.
    4. Academic Documents to be attached (those not already submitted during CPA (U) registration; ignore if already submitted.)

      4. Degrees
      5. Professional course certificates (Foreign Accountancy Qualification holders attach their CPA certificate)
    5. Fill in employment data and upload an updated CV.
    6. One up-to-date passport-size photograph for upload.
    7. Recommendation Letters
      1. From a full ICPAU member in good standing, personally known to the applicant.
      2. From either the applicant’s current or former employer (within the past 3 years).
      3. Foreign Accountancy holders attach a letter of good standing from their Professional Accountancy Organisation.
    8. Ensure enrolment fees are paid.
    9. Keep the receipt or confirmation of enrolment fee payment (POP).
