Role purpose and context | |
Key responsibilities | SETTLING TAX DISPUTES This involves tasks such as analysing, sanctioning and disputing assessments made by relevant bodies e.g. the Uganda Revenue Authority or KCCA. Working with the finance unit-heads to arrive at final company positions with regards to tax disputes forwarded to legal e.g. tribunal dispute resolution. INTERNAL AUDITS We would require you to be able to perform internal audits for all our group companies. This also involves creating standard operating procedures for all company units, which would allow: ? Assessments of Inter-company loan applications. ? Assessments of the financial health of the units and to project future growth areas. SUPERVISION You would work with (or supervise) the finance teams with; ? Generating audited accounts as and when required by management. ? Drafting annual returns and reconciling with external auditors and the URA. ? General book keeping e.g. maintaining trial balances, profit and loss statements, etc. |
Qualifications | ? A bachelors degree and professional certification of CPA-U or ACCA is a must. ? Proficiency with modern auditing software. ? Experience of at least a year is preferred given the vitality of the role(s). |
